The ChemQuest Group (Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) announced the appointments of two new directors, Ty Dawson, Ph.D., and Meghan Patel. Both will primarily contribute to projects in the firm’s Operational Excellence business pillar, which supports clients with identifying, implementing, and sustaining improvements in manufacturing processes and production.

Over his career, Dawson has gained extensive experience in global profit and loss (P&L) management, strategic leadership, operations, and innovation within B2B value chains. In roles with companies such as Timken and Milliken & Co, he has successfully driven growth by leading and scaling strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and operational efficiency initiatives across global markets.

Dawson most recently served as CEO of Rugged Solutions America, where he significantly expanded the company’s revenue and market presence through strategic acquisitions and integration. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Valparaiso University and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with ChemQuest personnel on business strategy and operational projects in previous roles,” Dawson says. “The team’s expertise and breadth of knowledge have always impressed me, and I’m excited to join such a talented group. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a technologist, functional manager, and business operator and owner. These roles have given me experience in each of ChemQuest’s pillars of expertise. I look forward to helping ChemQuest’s clients create transformational business strategies, achieve growth through acquisitions, and drive operational excellence.”

Patel is a strategic leader with extensive expertise gained from diverse roles in operational and safety excellence, program management, continuous improvement, and sales with companies such as Grote & Hartmann (acquired by Lear Corp.), Irvin Automotive, and Guilford Performance Textiles (also acquired by Lear Corp.). She most recently served as business supply chain and continuous improvement manager for Milliken & Co. Performance Solutions. A Six Sigma Black Belt, Patel earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University.

“I am thrilled to join ChemQuest and leverage my expertise in operational excellence and commercial strategy to drive impactful results for our clients,” Patel says. “My passion is to implement cultural change that simultaneously drives safety and continuous improvements fit perfectly with ChemQuest’s operational and manufacturing efficiencies process. I am excited to begin work with this impressive bench of industry experts.”

“Welcoming Ty and Meghan to the ChemQuest team is a true pleasure,” says Daniel Murad, CEO of ChemQuest. “Both of them have extensive operational and manufacturing-related expertise, which will prove invaluable as we support clients in our ever-expanding Operational Excellence activities. This is an area where we’ve seen significant growth and demand from companies seeking to make improvements in their facilities and manufacturing processes. I’m looking forward to seeing how Ty and Meghan will help support those efforts.”
