Joe Davis, vice president of product and application engineering at Tesla NanoCoatings Inc. (Massillon, Ohio, USA), recently hosted a webcast in the “Ask the Expert Series” of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP).
Davis’ presentation discusses nanotechnology as it relates to carbon nanotube (CNT) use in protective coatings. After providing an overview of what a CNT is, the benefits afforded by their use in protective coatings are discussed.
Discussion topics include what nanotechnology and nanomaterials are; what CNTs are; how CNTs work to fight corrosion; and what the benefits of CNT are for coatings.
