Tnemec Company (Kansas City, Missouri, USA), a leader in industrial coatings, recently announced Katie Duda as its new director of industrial products.

In her new role, Duda will oversee the support and expansion of Tnemec’s industrial product portfolio while focusing on critical areas such as liner coatings for primary and secondary containment; corrosion under insulation (CUI) solutions; and other specialized offerings.

Duda brings over 24 years of expertise in the coatings industry, having held pivotal roles in industrial coatings research and development, technical sales, account management, sales management, and product management. Her career began in 2000 after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in health science from Clemson University and an MBA in business administration with a minor in international business.

Active in industry organizations such as the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), the STI, and API, Duda is recognized as an Level 3 Senior Certified Coating Inspector under AMPP’s Coating Inspector Program (CIP). This further enhances her credibility and expertise.

Duda thrives on fostering collaboration between technical and commercial teams, as well as engaging with end users and owners, according to Tnemec. Her passion lies in bringing innovative, technically sound products to market that meet the needs of end users while standing out against the competition.

“I am excited about the collaboration opportunities within Tnemec,” Duda says. “Working with an energized, engaged, and like-minded professional group that is committed to advancing coating technologies is invigorating.”
