IAramco, a global integrated energy and chemicals company, has announced the implementation of CorrosionRADAR’s leading corrosion under insulation (CUI) monitoring solution at its Ju’aymah NGL fractionation plant in Saudi Arabia.

The system was installed at the natural gas liquids (NGL) plant at selective locations critical that are critical for CUI monitoring, the companies explain. This initiative aims to enhance the plant's safety and reliability, aligning with Aramco’s mission of reliable energy supply.

“We are proud to work closely with Aramco on this industry-leading project, showcasing the effectiveness of CorrosionRADAR’s ability to be used for predicting and detecting corrosion under insulation (CUI) on selective critical assets,” says Dr. Chiraz Ennaceur, CEO. “Moving forward, CorrosionRADAR will continue to work closely with Aramco to monitor their assets and provide insights into the early and predictive detection of CUI.”

The CorrosionRADAR technology is expected to enable plant engineers to address CUI issues more rapidly. Other benefits include improved safety and reliability; optimized inspection planning; and a reduction in overall costs associated with future maintenance and shutdowns.

“We are excited to announce our integration of IR 4.0 technologies, which are transforming our organization by effectively addressing long-standing industry challenges,” says Khalid S. Al-Ghamdi, senior vice president of Aramco’s Eastern Region manufacturing business.

“The Ju’aymah plant now features the CUI monitoring solution by CorrosionRADAR, highlighting our commitment to rapid and impactful digital transformation. This successful implementation marks a significant milestone, and we aim to leverage it to enhance value across all our facilities.”
