Tnemec Company, Inc. (Kansas City, Missouri, USA), a leading manufacturer of high-performance protective coatings, recently announced the launch of Series 108 and Series 109 ProBond. These are the newest epoxy penetrating sealers in the company’s family of high-performance coatings.
According to the manufacturer, Series 108 and 109 yield the next evolutionary step within low-stress penetrating epoxy sealers. These products continue the group’s legacy of premium high-performance coatings, according to the company, and should serve as a problem-solving primer.
Series 108 and 109 were designed by the manufacturer to bring additional performance and convenience features to the marketplace. These include extended pot life and recoat windows, low-temperature curing, shipping and packaging advantages, and more.
“The performance of these epoxy resins is astounding,” says Dan O’Toole, director of sales at Tnemec. “With this next generation of ProBond products, you can expect an even more robust sealer providing best-in-class service.”
With the applicator in mind, these products were designed to adhere to a multitude of substrates, including old finishes, and are frequently used as an overcoating primer.
The company describes Series 108 and 109 as solvent-free coatings, which are to be applied at a low film thickness to reduce stress and weight on old, tightly adhered coatings. In turn, this creates a reliable foundation to accept high-performance epoxy and polyurethane finishes.
