In an emailed press release, Lake Superior Consulting (LSC) (Duluth, Minnesota, USA), an employee-owned company, announced it had recently completed its first twenty years of delivering engineering, consulting, and field services to the energy infrastructure market.
Founded and headquartered in Duluth, LSC has grown to include more than 300 engineers, technicians, and specialists who provide expertise through its offices in Houston, Minneapolis, Omaha, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, along with remote employees throughout the continental United States.
LSC continues to serve many of the same customers that relied on the company back in 2002, according to Ryan Swor, general manager for LSC.
“We are proud of the customer-service culture that exists throughout our entire organization,” says Swor. “Thanks to partnerships with our customers and industry affiliates, LSC has helped make the industry safer, stronger, and more reliable.”
LSC returned to private ownership in 2022 after almost seven years as part of the Shawcor group of companies. Through the changes, David Hokanson has led the company as its vice president of engineering services.
“Since our founding, the principles of engineering and integrity have driven every aspect of LSC and the way we support our clients,” says Hokanson. “That attitude will continue well beyond another 20 years.”
The LSC commitment to excellence extends to the communities in which they work and live. Over the years, LSC has thanked these communities by volunteering in activities such as food drives, park clean-ups, and making donations to youth STEM programs.
