Please join us in welcoming Kerry Cole as the new Editor for Materials Performance (MP) magazine, a publication of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP).
As Editor, Cole will be responsible for producing editorial content for the magazine, such as planning and writing feature and department articles for each monthly issue and copyediting technical articles.
Cole will work with and report to Rebecca A. Bickham, MP’s Editor-in-Chief. Bickham was promoted to that role in January after the recent retirement of Gretchen A. Jacobson.
Once a newspaper reporter, Cole (LinkedIn) has a lengthy career background in editing and writing and a familiarity with associations, having worked as Senior Editor for the American Payroll Association. He earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from Abilene Christian University.
He lives in San Antonio, Texas, USA, with his wife, Dawn. He has two adult children, Madeline and Matthew, and his first grandchild is soon to be born. In his personal time, he plays viola in a community orchestra, is learning to speak Russian, and is an avid sports fan.
