Leading specialty chemical manufacturer Innovative Chemical Products (ICP) Building Solutions (Andover, Massachusetts, USA) has named Sami Rahman as its new chief commercial officer (COO). An experienced veteran of the building materials industry, Rahman will focus on setting and executing the overall commercial strategy for ICP Building Solutions as the company pursues its financial goals.
Rahman joined ICP in late 2021 as its senior vice president of product management. From there, she was promoted to the role of executive vice president of product management and technology. In Rahman’s new role as COO, all ICP sales teams, research and development, product management, and marketing will report to her.
“Sami has demonstrated transformational leadership skills and strong strategic vision in his time with ICP, and we believe it makes him a natural fit for this important position,” says Doug Mattscheck, CEO and president, ICP Group. “We see the COO position as critical in helping our organization drive alignment and meet our growth goals. Prior to joining ICP, Rahman spent more than 18 years with James Hardie Building Products (Dublin, Ireland), where he served in a variety of roles in engineering, logistics, and product management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Master of Science from the University of Toledo (Toledo, Ohio, USA), as well as an MBA in finance, strategic management, and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago (Chicago, Illinois, USA).
