Fulkrum (London, United Kingdom), a leading provider of inspection, expediting, auditing, and technical staffing to the energy industry, announced the appointment of Marco André Vandelli Guanaes as general manager of the group’s South American business to support an ongoing expansion strategy in the Latin America.
Having over 25 years of experience working for key energy industry leaders, Vandelli Guanaes recently spent 15 years at multinational oil and gas company, Shell. While there, he worked in various roles before ultimately progressing to sales and operations manager of the group’s Brazilian office.
“I’m excited to be supporting Fulkrum in the development of its footprint in the Latin American region,” he says. “My key focuses for the region are to strengthen client relationships and increase operations here in South America. As we emerge from the recovering period caused by the impact of the pandemic, we are now in a good stage to explore new opportunities in Brazil and the wider region over the next few months, particularly focusing on Guyana off the back of the recent oil discoveries.”
Having working as a consultant and managing initiatives for major Latin American governing bodies—including Paraguay, Uruguay, Cuba, and Brazil—Vandelli Guanaes is viewed as an esteemed expert, with widely recognized achievements in global management, operations, consultancy, and business development. He has led and developed various start-up processes, along with implementing tactical strategies for industry leaders across Latin America, the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
After establishing its South American position in 2020, Fulkrum says its Latin American office has seen month-on-month growth of 20 percent. With a successful first step in Brazil, Vandelli Guanaes’s expertise in start-up processes and business-to-business relations should enable the company to expand into new regions.
