OMNI, an ICR company (Aberdeen, United Kingdom), has recently launched a new digital full lifecycle asset integrity management solution developed by industry experts, allowing companies to manage, predict, plan, and optimize their asset integrity management programs.

According to the company, OMNI is built on the combined knowledge of integrity engineers, software developers, and data scientists, and is headed up by William McLean, a director who brings 16 years of cross-industry experience to the role.

Unique features built throughout the software include automation, operational tracking, and a communications hub for digital collaboration and to drive efficiencies. The current suite of modules includes Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Anomaly, and Repair—with the addition of Workpack and Inspection modules due to be completed in the first half of 2021.

OMNI is working in partnership with the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, United Kingdom) through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership, and funded by Innovate UK, to develop predictive algorithms and prognostics health management capability to be integrated into its software. Hongya Liang from the university is leading this project by bringing her expert knowledge in advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence.

“We have built the OMNI software on expertise gained in the field, with Insiso—our software developer—who have vast experience in AI and IoT [Internet of Things], together with data scientists and a Silicon Valley expert to hone a next-generation user experience and user interface,” McLean says. “We’ve taken that combined knowledge and converted it into a useful solution for operators, allowing them to extend the life of their assets and plan better in a simple to use system providing resilience, speed, and accuracy.”

“We are seeing businesses with decades of historical data which can be cumbersome to manage,” McLean adds. “We aim to accelerate the shift to digital asset integrity by incorporating the latest advancements in technology and delivering simple but powerful solutions. We aim to help organizations futureproof their business by continuing to innovate and develop our software products with machine learning, predictive analytics, and sensor connections, ensuring that our clients always remain ahead of the curve when it comes to digital asset integrity management.”

As such, OMNI describes itself as a cross-industry solution while being part of ICR Integrity—a leading provider of integrated maintenance, repair, and production solutions for industrial related services to the oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, marine, and defense industries. OMNI says it will be able to leverage ICR’s global network, which includes its Aberdeen headquarters and operational hubs in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States, Norway, and a joint venture partner in Australia.
