In an emailed press release, VonArx (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), a leader in surface preparation machines and pneumatic tools, announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire IMPACTS GmbH (Overath, Germany).
Founded in 2004, IMPACTS is one of the global leaders in shotblasting equipment and is well-respected for its high-quality products and customer-focused service.
“By acquiring IMPACTS, we widen our product portfolio, reinforces our presence in the surface preparation market and are able to create a home market in Germany for both IMPACTS and VonArx branded products,” says Fredrik Akermark, owner and CEO of VonArx.
VonArx has experienced rapid growth during the past four years and has developed several products during this time. The company expects that IMPACTS’ product range, along with its extensive experience in and knowledge of the surface preparation industry, will add immeasurable value to VonArx.
IMPACTS will remain under its own brand and distribute products under this brand through its current distribution network. Operation and manufacturing for the German-based shotblast manufacturer will remain in Overath.
