Energy Company Adds Two New Board Members

Diamondback Energy (Midland, Texas, USA), an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration, announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Stephanie Mains and Vincent Brooks. According to Steven West, chairman of the board for Diamondback, the appointment of Mains and Brooks will increase the size of the board to eight members.

Mains, who holds a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Kentucky, has more than 30 years of experience across a variety of industrial segments, including aviation, energy, and transportation. In her most recent position, she served as president and chief executive officer of ABB Electrification Products Industrial Solutions, a global provider of electrical infrastructure solutions. Mains has also held leadership positions at GE Industrial Solutions and GE Distributed Power Global Services, among other companies.

A career officer with more than 42 years of service in the U.S. Army, Brooks retired from active duty as a four-star general in 2019. He spent the majority of his final seventeen years in the Army as a general officer in command of large, complex military organizations in challenging situations. In addition to his military service, Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, among other degrees.

Mains and Brooks each qualify as an independent director under the Nasdaq listing standards.

‘We are excited and humbled that Stephanie and Vince have decided to join Diamondback’s Board of Directors,” says West. “Each adds decades of relevant experience and unique business, risk management and strategic skills that are complementary to our existing Board members. These are unprecedented times for our industry and company, and we look forward to their contributions as we navigate the company into the future.”
