Chemicals Company to Donate Hand Sanitizer

Hydrite Chemical Co. (Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA) announced it is donating supplies of a specially formulated hand sanitizer to support hospitals, healthcare workers and facilities, and local food banks responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This specially formulated hand sanitizer, Hydri-San 3C Hand Sanitizer, meets guidelines established by the World Health Organization and the Food and Drug Administration during this current public health crisis. According to Hydrite, Hydri-San 3C is effective at reducing bacteria on skin that could potentially cause disease.

One benefit of this hand sanitizer is that it does not require hands to be rinsed with water after use, and it also contains a moisturizer in order to prevent dry skin. In addition, the low viscosity formulation allows for a variety of applications.

“As an organization with a mission statement that focuses around integrity and people, it’s a priority for us to contribute efforts towards fighting this global pandemic,” says Hydrite President Kevin Honkamp. “Our thoughts are with those suffering from COVID-19 and with all the essential workers who are helping in this battle. As a company, we have taken this step to donate the Hydri-San 3C hand sanitizer as a response to efforts in preventing the further spread of COVID-19.”

Established in 1929, Hydrite is a family-owned company and one of the largest independent providers of chemicals and related services in the U.S. The company has a network of manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and laboratories, along with nearly 1,000 employees in 25 states.
