Elcometer Appoints New Research, Development Director

Paul King. Photo courtesy of Elcometer.Inspection and blasting equipment manufacturer Elcometer Ltd. (Manchester, United Kingdom) has appointed Paul King as the company's new research and development (R&D) director.

King joins the company with over 17 years of leadership experience at global companies, which included mechanical engineering and technology groups. He spent a large part of his career at Nokia, where he eventually became the group's director of mechanics technology, before he was transferred to Microsoft in the position of concepting director.

King's key responsibilities at Elcometer will include managing overall activities in the R&D department at the manufacturer's head office in Manchester, ensuring that the company continues to deliver its innovative technology to customers across the globe.

“I am delighted that Paul has joined us,” says Michael Sellars, the group's managing director. “Paul brings a wealth of experience and valuable knowledge to the team, and I am confident he will build on the expertise of our R&D department.”

Elcometer has specialized divisions of the company dedicated to coatings inspection, ultrasonic nondestructive testing (NDT) inspection, concrete inspection, and metal detection.
