Australasian Corrosion Association Appoints Reilly as New CEO

The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) (Blackburn, Victoria, Australia) recently appointed Richard Reilly to the position of CEO for the organization.

Reilly brings executive experience to the role after serving as CEO of the Federation of Automotive Products Manufacturers (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) for over six years. He also spent nine years at professional services firm Deloitte (London, United Kingdom) in the global investment and innovation incentive group, delivering tax services to clients.

“Corrosion is an enormous cost to the national economy,” Reilly says. “I’m looking forward to working with members to help address this challenge and ensure that the association continues to meet the needs of its members and of the industry through training, membership, communication, and governance.”

Reilly is very experienced working with stakeholders in a membership-based organization, the ACA says, citing his experience in providing advocacy and liaising with key industry and government bodies.

“Richard will be responsible for delivering key outcomes contained in the ACA’s strategic plan, and I am sure you will enjoy working with him to further the interests of companies and individuals in the Australasian corrosion mitigation sector and related industries,” says Dean Wall, chairman of ACA.

Reilly is passionate about delivering value to members and is well qualified to lead the organization, the ACA says. He holds multiple degrees from the University of Melbourne (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and is also a graduate of the Company Directors’ course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia).
