Induron Protective Coatings Adds Florida Sales Manager

Induron Protective Coatings (Birmingham, Alabama, USA) announced that Bob Maley has joined the company as sales manager of Florida. In that capacity, Maley will manage the service and sales team in the Florida market.

“We are excited to welcome Bob to the sales team, as he not only offers valuable industry experience, but also gives Induron the opportunity to expand into the Florida coatings market,” says Davies Hood, president of Induron. “Florida has a tremendous infrastructure, which presents limitless opportunities for Induron products.”

Maley brings more than 40 years of experience to his role at Induron from both the contracting and consulting sectors of industrial painting. He has been actively involved in projects architectural, institutional, water-wastewater, bridges and tunnels, storage tanks, conventional power, and historical renovation markets.

Maley is a member of NACE International, SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings, and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He has published and presented numerous technical papers, instructed courses, and served on various committees.

Maley has been a NACE Level 3 Coating Inspector for more than 30 years and was among the first group of applicants to achieve SSPC’s Protective Coating Specialist status in 1996. He is also an SSPC Level 2 Certified Concrete Coatings Inspector, as well as a Supervisor/Competent Person for deleading industrial structures.

“Working for Induron seemed like a natural progression as vendors and suppliers are somewhat of a link between contractors and engineers — a triangle, so to speak,” Maley says. “When I became aware that Induron was looking to actively pursue the Florida coatings market, the prospect of assuming such a role fit well with my desire to remain in the industry.”

Founded in 1947, Induron manufactures high-performance coatings that serve a range of industrial applications, including the wastewater, electrical transmission and distribution, and potable water storage, treatment, and transmission industries.
