ASTM International Cancels Upcoming Standards Meetings

ASTM International (West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA) announced that it has cancelled two standards developments meetings scheduled to be held in Boston from March 29–April 3 and in Prague from April 27-30.

According to ASTM International, these meetings were cancelled out of concern for members and staff during the global COVID-19 pandemic. In making this decision, the organization considered several factors: a continued of information and recommendation from governmental bodies such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the world Health Organization; input from ASTM International members whose organizations are concerned with travel; and watching the expanding trajectory of COVID-19.

The organization says it will keep these factors in mind while assessing the status of its upcoming standards development meetings on May 10-15 and June 28–July 3.
