MFG Chemical Expands Customer Service, Logistics Capabilities

Specialty and custom chemical manufacturing group MFG Chemical (Dalton, Georgia, USA) has added to its domestic and international customer service and logistics staff. 

Having hired international and customer service professional Kim Curtis earlier in 2019, MFG Chemical recently added logistics expert April Goins to the domestic service team.

According to the company, Goins brings experience in negotiating the best freight rates and tracking shipments. Prior to joining MFG Chemical, she developed her skills as a logistics coordinator and team manager at Universal Marketing Systems and Beaulieu Commercial. Goins has earned numerous certifications in customer service and leadership.

“The addition of a logistics expert like April Goins will help MFG Chemical in reaching its goal of providing the best customer service and logistics in the specialty and custom chemical industry,” says Melanie West, MRG’s director of supply chain.

The company says it has also recently implemented its operational excellence software program, OESuite. The program is designed to improve information and workflow management, which results in better organizational alignment, production operations, risk assessment and mitigation, maintenance, and employee safety. 

Finally, MFG Chemical celebrated International Customer Service Week in October 2019 under the theme, “The Magic of Service.”

Team-building exercises were conducted, and letters were written to thank many company customers.

The company describes itself as a specialty and custom chemical manufacturer for a variety of global markets, including agriculture, asphalt, graphic arts, lubricants, mining, oilfield, paints and coatings, personal care, pulp and paper, and water treatment. The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Northwest Georgia and Pasadena, Texas, with strong product development capabilities.

Key chemistries include dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinates (DOSS), water soluble polymers, rheology modifiers, amides, esters, imidazolines, surfactants, and specialty anhydrides. Polymers In addition, the company recently received two SOCMA awards for plant safety and process efficiency and has achieved ISO 9001: 2015 certification.
