Electronics firm Tinker & Rasor (T&R) recently moved from its home U.S. state of more than 70 years in California to a new, 45,000 ft2 (4,180.6 m2) facility in New Braunfels, Texas, USA. Incorporated in 1948, the company had been continuously manufacturing in California until the move in September 2019.

According to the manufacturer, the new factory boasts all-new machine and fabrication facilities to improve customization. T&R says its new extrusion lines allow for rapid turnaround times on line marker and test station orders.

The new Texas facility includes two state-of-the-art classrooms, which are donated to local sections to host industry training courses.

“This move can only help us to grow and better serve our U.S. and international customers with this more centralized location,” said Mark. J. Byerley, senior president and CEO.

T&R is engaged in the design, development, and manufacturing of holiday detectors; Detectron pipe and cable locators; fluid leak detectors; test stations and line markers; and a complete line of cathodic protection instrumentation. The company has served and supported the corrosion industry since 1948, and says it looks forward to its continued commitment from Texas.
