Infrastructure Engineering, Construction Firm Announces New President

Infrastructure engineering and construction firm HMI Services, Inc. (HMI) (Charlotte, North Carolina, USA), announced the appointment of Carmine Battafarano to the position of president.

The company is a multi-discipline, privately held firm that designs, builds, and maintains critical U.S. infrastructure. The firm offers extensive industry knowledge, technical excellence, and an integrated approach to engineering, planning, construction, project management, and turnkey delivery solutions for the power, oil and gas, and communications industries.

Battafarano brings more than 25 years of experience in technically complex operations and business management positions to his new role, in which he is responsible for and has executive oversight of HMI and all HMI subsidiaries. He will also continue in his role as president of HMI’s technical solutions business, focusing on the expansion of the organization’s engineering business while leveraging the synergies between various HMI companies.

Battafarano joined Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, USA), a subsidiary of HMI’s parent company, Henkels & McCoy Group, as vice president of corporate development in 2013. He later served as president of HMI Communications. Prior to joining Henkels & McCoy, he held executive positions at several global and national firms, and practiced as an attorney in environmental law.
