Engineering Firm Forms Strategic Partnership with Electric Utility

U.S. engineering, consulting, and automation services company EN Engineering (Warrenville, Illinois, USA) announced that it made an investment in electric utility and telecommunications engineering firm Texas Utility Engineering (TXUE) (San Antonio, Texas, USA).

EN serves utilities, midstream and downstream energy companies, and industrial customers from 22 U.S. locations. The company’s employee base of more than 1,100 professionals offers comprehensive engineering, consulting, design, integrity management, corrosion protection, and automation services.

“This partnership represents an exciting expansion for our Utilities practice,” says CEO Steve Knowles. “TXUE is a leading expert on all aspects of electric distribution poles in Central and South Texas.”

With the deal, the Utilities practice now has more than 650 employees offering a full complement of gas distribution and electric transmission and distribution services.

“In addition to being complementary geographically, TXUE has technical expertise in several categories such as telecommunications and pole inspection that we will now be able to offer many of our clients as well,” says Ben Newman, vice president of corporate development.
