Protective Coatings Group Plans New U.S. Distribution Hub

Protective coatings and materials manufacturer PPG Industries (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA) recently announced plans for a new distribution center in Flower Mound, Texas, USA.

The nearly 450,000 ft2 (41,806.4 m2) facility, which will be constructed and leased through Duke Realty (Indianapolis, Indiana, USA), will be the largest distribution center for architectural paints and coatings in the company’s U.S. and Canadian network.

According to the company, the new facility will strengthen its distribution model and allow for improved, efficient service to national accounts, company stores, and independent retailers across the United States. The project is expected to be completed in May 2019.

“PPG is incredibly proud to announce the Flower Mound distribution center project in this important market,” says Dave Cole, vice president for architectural coatings in the U.S. and Canada region.

“The new facility will continue to grow [our] presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and allow for even greater efficiency in serving our customers in the region,” Cole adds.
