Industrial lighting equipment and accessories manufacturer Larson Electronics LLC (Kemp, Texas, USA) has released the HALP-EMG-48-2L-LED-SS, an emergency LED light designed to operate in a variety of wet and corrosive environments.

This U.S. Coast Guard-approved LED can be used in potentially hazardous areas such as oil rigs, ships, chemical storage centers, and offshore applications. It is also ideally suited for saltwater marine environments where corrosion resistant equipment is necessary.

The four-foot-long, two lamp LED comes with a 56-W light fixture that produces 7,000 lm of light. It also includes a battery backup that provides 90 min of emergency runtime after power is lost at 3,500 lm.

The fixture housing for the LED is made from extruded aluminum with a polycarbonate lens that guards the LEDs in wet and corrosive areas. The two T-Style lamps have no filaments or fragile housings, and are equipped with stainless steel flange mounts for shock absorbency.

The LED light figure is Class 1 Division II, Groups A, B, C, D approved and carries a UL 1598A outdoor marine rating, along with a 50,000-h lifespan.
