Nondestructive Ultrasonic Gauges for Precision, Corrosion Testing

New precision and corrosion ultrasonic gauges from Fischer Technology, Inc. (Windsor, Connecticut, USA)are the latest complements to the company’s line of handheld material testing instruments.

The FISCHERSCOPE UMP 20, 40, and 100 are compact and robust gauges for quick and accurate measurements, while the UMP 150 is designed for the aerospace sector, automotive industry, and more. The series is IP54-rated and features a durable, custom-molded case with a raised rubber keypad.

The gauges come in multiple models to suit various budgets and applications, while the simple upgrade path available with all gauges makes it easy to add available software options in the field.

Features of the compact gauges include a graphic display, an illuminated keypad, Live Waveform, alarm vibration, and an echo-to-echo option to ignore coatings.

The UMP Precision gauge and UMP 150 are designed for the nondestructive testing of wall thickness on manufactured parts requiring high accuracy and resolution. The latter utilizes single element transducers and offers a 30 MHz, square-wave pulser with 1-µm resolution and the ability to store and recall 30 unique applications.
